Bass Strait Freight is a shipping company based in Bridport, a small coastal town, on the North-East Coast of Tasmania.
Bridport’s close proximity to Flinders Island make it ideally suited to provide regular services to the Furneaux Group of Islands, including Flinders Island, Cape Barren Island and ‘as required services’ to King Island and Port Welshpool (Victoria).
We operate purpose-built roll on roll off vessels, the Matthew Flinders III and the Matthew Flinders IV, both built in Bridport by Matthew Bayles of FC Management.
Our two vessels can take passengers, small and heavy vehicles, general freight and containerised cargo.
